The Transition from Summer to Fall

The Transition from Summer to Fall

The Fall Equinox is September 22, 2024. This is the third transitional season of the year. We began with the Spring Equinox, bringing our dreamtime from the stillness of winter into action. The Summer Solstice created love, passion, and community during hot summer nights. Now, we enter the energy of the Fall Equinox, which represents the transition between the active energy of Summer and the inward focus of Autumn. It is a time for celebrations, reaping the rewards of the harvest and moving towards the Holidays and the end of the year.

The Fall Equinox is associated with stability, nourishment, and grounding.

Key Characteristics and Associations:

  • Organs: Stomach and Spleen
  • Emotion: Worry, anxiety
  • Taste: Sweet
  • Color: Yellow

Nurturing Your Earth Element: Balancing Body and Mind

Our bodies are intricately connected to the natural world. The earth element, associated with stability, grounding, and nourishment, plays a crucial role in our overall well-being. When this element is out of balance, we may experience digestive issues, emotional turmoil, and a lack of energy.

Digestive Harmony

The stomach and spleen, governed by the earth element, are responsible for digestion and nutrient absorption. Issues like indigestion, bloating, and constipation often stem from imbalances in this area.

Emotional Serenity

Worry, anxiety, and overthinking are emotions linked to the earth element. Excessive rumination can lead to stress, which, in turn, can disrupt digestive processes.

Grounding Techniques

To restore balance and promote harmony within the earth element, consider these grounding techniques:

  • Connect with Nature: Spend time outdoors, sitting against a tree or walking barefoot in the grass.
  • Remove Stagnant Energy: To remove stagnant energy that may be blocking you from the earth's magnetic pulse, spoon your feet in figure 8's with a spoon or rake the bottoms of your feet with a fork to ground your energy and get it moving.
  • Electromagnetic Connection: Avoid wearing rubber-soled shoes whenever possible, as they can block you off from the earth's electromagnetic field.
  • Use Natural Grounding Stones: While working at a desk, rest your feet on river rocks to promote grounding.

Year-Round Earth Element Assessment

To assess the health of your earth element throughout the year, consider the following factors:

  • Digestion: Are you experiencing digestive discomfort?
  • Diet: Is your diet consistent and healthy?  Or are you eating a lot of sweets and carbohydrates?
  • Emotional State: Are you feeling anxious or overwhelmed? Talking to your friends or a trusted mentor will help you get a better perspective on what is real and important. New possibilites and solutions may be created to help ease the feelings of fear or unmanageability.
  • Energy Levels: Are you feeling fatigued or lacking vitality?

By paying attention to these factors, implementing grounding practices, and sharing your challenges with trusted friends, you can nurture your earth element and foster a sense of balance, stability, and well-being.

Namaste,

Lizz
