Things You Can Do to Thrive During the Holidays- Week 3

“Resting is a part of the process, even if it’s not a part of the plan.”

-CARLEY SCHWEET

Check in with yourself daily.

Get to know yourself. I love the word metacognition! It means that what you think, how you act, and what you feel about yourself in a positive manner are essential to your overall health!

Take the time to get centered and grounded. You’ll be less likely to get upset with others when you feel centered and grounded.

The easiest thing you can do to feel more grounded is to spoon the bottom of your feet. It will remove the stagnant energy collected throughout the day, or if you have been wearing rubber-soled shoes, they will prevent the earth’s energy from moving into your body.

Getting quiet- it’s so nourishing for your nervous system. Even a few minutes a day has a positive effect on your mind and body. Research has shown that allowing yourself to be quiet recharges your batteries and is similar to restful sleep.

Try deep belly breaths to help you get oxygen moving throughout your body.

You can also use the Neurovascular Reflex Point on your forehead to soothe and calm your nervous system.

Lightly hold your fingertips about an inch above your brows on your forehead. Ideally, hold these points until you can feel the pulse in your fingertips.

The Sounds of Nature is a powerful form of energetic healing. Take a long walk where you can hear the wind move through the trees or birds chirping. Getting out into nature will help you feel balanced.

Meditation- One of the most powerful things you can do for yourself is to meditate. It doesn’t require a specific amount of time; 3-5 minutes is all it takes to begin this lifelong practice. Meditation slows your mind down, creating more connections within your brain and synchronizing your heart's electrical energy. It also helps connect you with your intuition, mental clarity, and inspiration.

Journaling is another powerful tool to reconnect to yourself. One of the best benefits is that it helps you process what is going on in your life. Be sure to acknowledge what went well during the course of the day.

  1. Can you build on that success tomorrow?
  2. Stringing a few good days together creates a new way of looking at life and creates the foundation for happiness.
  3. Begin to create your future by writing down specifics of what you want and how it feels so that you can send that frequency out into the quantum field.

Energy Medicine- simple techniques you can do daily to remove static energy from your body, providing a sense of well-being.

I hope that you get to experience the wonderment that the Holiday Season has to offer.

Always with love and namaste,

Lizz
